Like many watercolorists who work in a representational manner, I love light and color. I try to fill my florals, still lifes, and landscapes with intense color, high contrast, and beautiful shadows. I have chosen watercolor as my primary medium because I enjoy the ability to mix an endless variety of colors on my paper. I hope that my close-focus still lifes and florals help my viewers to see details and beauty that they may otherwise have missed.
